Privacy Policy

Effective date: February 6, 2026

1. Introduction

1500 Lab ("we", "us", "our") operates the 1500 Lab platform (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our Service.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored in hashed form).

Training Data

We collect workout logs, personal records, exercise preferences, and training program selections that you enter into the Service.

Recovery and Health Data

We collect recovery logs including sleep quality, stress levels, soreness ratings, and other self-reported wellness metrics you provide.

Wearable Device Data

If you connect a wearable device (such as a Garmin device), we collect activity summaries, heart rate data, sleep data, and other fitness metrics made available through the device's API. This data is synced only with your explicit authorization and can be disconnected at any time.

Usage Data

We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, and timestamps.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Generate personalized AI-powered training recommendations
  • Track training outcomes and improve recommendation quality over time
  • Integrate data from connected wearable devices into your athlete profile
  • Communicate with you about the Service
  • Ensure the security and integrity of the Service

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

  • AI Processing: Training data is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) for generating recommendations. This data is not used to train AI models.
  • Service Providers: We use third-party services for hosting, database management, and background job processing. These providers access data only as needed to perform their functions.
  • Coach Access: If you are coached through the platform, your coach can view your training data, recovery data, and recommendations.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or in response to valid legal process.

5. Wearable Device Integrations

When you connect a wearable device (e.g., Garmin), we request access only to the data categories necessary for the Service (activity summaries, sleep, and heart rate). You can revoke this access at any time through the Integrations settings page, which will stop future data syncs. Previously synced data can be deleted upon request.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Training history and recommendation records are retained to support the learning loop that improves recommendations over time. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

7. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit (TLS), hashed passwords, and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
